As the world becomes more international, many important roles go to those who speak more than one language. The more a child hears and practices a language, the better chance he has to learn it.
Language Nannies™ offers two options:
Nanny Search + Family Coaching: Language Nannies™ finds nannies to cultivate a child’s foreign language skills and care for his needs and safety too. A language nanny chats away merrily to your son in Spanish or teaches him what to do and not to do in French, or helps your daughter learn to ask a question in Mandarin Chinese.
Great nannies have energy. They go to the park, pick kids up at school, play ball, and shuttle between activities and doctor’s appointments. They nurture and supervise. They read stories, teach manners, and dress kids for the weather. And great nannies understand just how unique every child is.
We interview each of our applicants personally. We scrutinize applications, confirm work histories, review work authorization documents, and listen carefully to the way our applicants speak. We look for great Language Nannies™. Then we refer them to you. When you meet the one you want to hire, we check their background, and make sure they’re CPR trained.
But Language Nannies™ goes the extra mile. We add Language Development Coaching to help you create the best language enriched home for your child. François Thibaut meets with you and your nanny to:
- Talk about your child, your goals, and family language environment
- Explain the stages of language development, how children learn to talk, and how they learn multiple languages
- Counter fears like "won't they be confused?"
- Give step-by-step instructions, rules, and recommendations
- Share success stories, language enriching exercises, and techniques
- Caution nannies about bad habits and things that can jeopardize a child's language development
- Ensure that your nanny understands the process and is willing to follow the rules for responsible language development
Language Development Coaching Only
Or we meet with the nanny you already employ, or one you recently found, and discuss each of the topics we would have discussed had we conducted the search for you.
But Our Relationship Doesn’t End There
Once a Language Nannies™ family, always a Language Nannies™ family. We are always there to help you navigate the small steps it takes to create a bilingual child. Call us anytime. We will always be available to discuss your child’s progress.

Kids Learn Differently.
Harvard’s Howard Gardner identified seven “learning styles.” Linguistic learners enjoy hearing stories, but tend to be quiet. Musical learners love to vocalize and often speak before the others.
